What is the eligibility criteria for an international student to study in Germany?
Requirements for studying Masters in Germany:
- Proof of language competence - For English-language programs, you need a score > 6.0 on the IELTS test or 90+ on the TOEFL iBT test. For German-language programs, a level of B2 or above (TestDaF or DSH).
- Bachelors degree - An undergraduate degree in a related field of study is needed before pursuing Masters.
- Proof of financial resources - Show scholarship or a bank statements (Blocked account with roughly 12000 Euros / year)
Requirements for studying Bachelors in Germany:
- University Entrance Qualification (UEQ) - You need an equivalent German Abitur. This is US high school / Indian 12th grade + 1 extra year of study (at Studienkolleg).
- Proof of language competence - For English-language programs, you need a score > 6.0 on the IELTS test or 90+ on the TOEFL iBT test. For German-language programs, a level of B2 or above (TestDaF or DSH).
